THE SLOW DOWN SESSIONS

Next session:  Wednesday 24th March 19:30-20:30 via Zoom

£8 per household.  Advanced booking is required.

This small group session is designed to help you find some space for yourself to slow down and relax through somatic enquiry, meditation, creative exploration, and deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra.

This isn’t a movement class (although we do spend a few minutes using some gentle seated movements to bring us into the present moment through our bodies)

It’s hard to put a label on it – a relaxation class would probably best describe it, although it’s much more than this – it’s space and time to slow down and reconnect with your body and yourself in the present moment.

✨You will need a comfortable place to sit and ideally lie down. Pyjamas welcome!

✨You are invited to bring a pen and notebook for an opportunity for some somatic writing exercises/journalling.  These are optional, so don’t worry if this isn’t your thing.
✨No previous experience required – just a desire to slow down and enjoy some time to just be!

✨You will receive a link via email after booking

Some words from attendees of previous sessions:

“Thank you for welcoming us to your slow down session…I found it really relaxing and beneficial. Reflecting on winter was inspiring and helped me to focus on how to nurture myself this season, embracing the season rather than resenting it. Thank you for encouraging us to make time just to be”

(December session attendee)

“I MEANT TO EMAIL YOU TO THANK YOU FOR THE LAST SLOW DOWN SESSION…I WAS INCREDIBLY STRESSED WITH WORK AT THE TIME SO IT WAS VERY WELL TIMED. I AM A KEEN WRITER BUT WASN’T TOO SURE ABOUT THE JOURNALING ASPECT BUT I SURPRISED MYSELF AT HOW MUCH I ENJOYED IT AND GOT OUT OF IT.”

(December Session Attendee)

“THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THE SESSION ON LAST NIGHT. I’VE NOT DONE ANYTHING LIKE THAT BEFORE AND FELT A BIT NERVOUS BEFORE (I DON’T KNOW WHY!) I ENJOYED IT AND IT MADE ME THINK ABOUT TRYING TO INCORPORATE SOME OF WHAT WE DID MORE REGULARLY. THE HOUR WENT SO FAST AS WELL”

(January Session Attendee)
